What you will be able to do

  1. 01State and apply the law of reflection
  2. 02Distinguish regular (specular) and diffuse reflection
  3. 03Describe the image formed by a plane mirror

Geometric optics starts from one simple picture: light travels in straight lines called rays, at least until something bends or bounces it. Draw those rays and you can predict exactly where shadows fall, how mirrors form images, and where a lens focuses. It's the most visual chapter in the course — so we'll draw everything.
